Air Canada will operate flights to Zagreb next year
Written by: Jan Kotek.
Canadian flag air carrier Air Canada (AC/ACA), a member of Star Alliance, will inaugurate direct regular flights from Toronto (Pearson International Airport) to Zagreb. Air Canada started with first flight operations from Toronto to Zagreb 3 years ago. However this route was operated by low-cost subsidiary Air Canada Rouge (RV/ROU) with Boeing 767-300ER. This route was discontinued when the pandemic started.
In the meantime Air Canada has retired all Boeing 767-300ERs from its fleet, so low-cost subsidary Air Canada Rouge has discontinued all intercontinental flights. Now this route will be operated by Air Canada, with Airbus A330-300 (in the picture) with three flights a week, from June 2nd, 2022. Departures from Toronto are scheduled on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while return flight from Zagreb is scheduled on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. However, this also means that there will be one flight a week less then before the pandemic.
